The Cayman Islands Government is inviting bids for the new assembly hall for Theoline L. McCoy Primary School in Bodden Town.
Plans call for the construction of a 12,633-square-foot ‘New Assembly Hall’, as well as a covered walkway, with the project to begin in February 2021 and be completed by April 2022, according to documents posted on the government’s public purchasing portal.
The tender period opened 30 Nov. and closes 11 Jan., 2021.
During a meeting of the Legislative Assembly’s Finance Committee in October, Education Minister Juliana O’Connor-Connolly credited Bodden Town East MLA Dwayne Seymour for his efforts to secure the facility following years of requests.
