Monty Larrew
The family of Monty Larrew, has donated $3000 to Literacy is for Everyone (LIFE) in honor of Monty’s memory and his life’s work to benefit the children of Cayman.
The Larrew family donation will be used to create the Monty Larrew Resource Library – a library that will provide hundreds of resources for specialists in The Student Services Department of the Cayman Islands Department of Education Services. These specialists work with children who have special education needs within the Cayman Islands Public School system. They include Educational Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists and a Music Therapist.
Monty Larrew was an Educational Psychologist with the Cayman Islands Department of Education Services for seven years before his untimely passing in August, 2019. Monty was passionate about literacy and helped to develop programmes to foster the reading abilities of students on both Cayman Brac and Grand Cayman.
