The Cayman Islands Government has extended bids for the new Bodden Town primary school hall until 9 Feb.
Plans call a 12,633-square-foot ‘New Assembly Hall’ at Theoline L. McCoy Primary School, as well as a covered walkway.
When the tender period first opened 30 Nov. 2020, construction had been scheduled to begin in February and be finished by April 2022. However, back in October 2020, a senior Ministry of Education official had given a more general window for construction to start — the first quarter of 2021, with a timeline to completion of 14 months.
Last week, the Cayman Compass noted that the closing of the tender period had been extended to 29 Jan., from the original date of 11 Jan.
