To all candidates who are running for Cayman Islands Parliament:
We are extending a cordial invitation to all candidates to share their policy positions on the subject of education to the Cayman Current.
Whether it is in the form of a letter, an excerpt from a manifesto, a video, or an interview with the Current, we are offering dedicated space on the Cayman Current website to each candidate to state their views on education.
These candidate pages will comprise part of the Current’s Election 2021 coverage, and will be published in addition to our regular stories on the campaign.
We strongly encourage all candidates to take advantage of this opportunity to go ‘on the record’, in the format of their choice, in order to communicate clearly to voters and all stakeholders their positions on this most-important topic of education.
The Cayman Current is the country’s only non-profit news organisation. We are an independent, non-political organisation dedicated to improving education in Cayman through our public service journalism.
Beyond our mission, we do not take editorial positions and we do not offer our own opinions on candidates or their policy positions.
For more information or to submit your education platform for publication, please contact editor Patrick Brendel at 326-5064 or (preferably) at pbrendel@caymancurrent.org.
Note: This is an opportunity being offered to raise public awareness of education as a policy issue. It is not a sales initiative and there is no charge.
