The following is a press release from University College of the Cayman Islands:
UCCI students are preparing for a short-term transition to online learning in the upcoming Summer session. For 7 weeks, commencing May 10th until June 25th, all UCCI classes will be taught online. Online classes will enable students’ learning, by offering greater flexibility through online studies from anywhere in the world.
“Tertiary education providers around the globe are moving increasingly toward online offerings, to facilitate the kind of work-life flexibility students are expecting. At UCCI, Cayman’s premier tertiary education provider, we plan to lead this trend by evaluating opportunities to expand our online class options; particularly in the Summer as we undertake campus renovations to create an improved learning environment for our faculty, staff and students alike,” says UCCI’s President and CEO Dr. Stacy McAfee.
All short courses, Certificate, Associate, Bachelor’s and Postgraduate studies will be amongst the online course offerings. Online classes will be hosted live; at set times and primarily through the Microsoft Teams and Blackboard learning platforms.
Key dates for the upcoming Summer session include: the application deadline for prospective students to submit their online application (April 23rd 2021); the registration period for current students (March 24th to 14th May) and the start of classes (May 10th 2021).
Prospective students who want to begin studying with UCCI, should apply by the application deadline of April 23rd 2021. UCCI’s online application portal facilitates easy submission of a UCCI application form and allows prospective students to upload all required documents and receive an admissions decision through the portal.
Current UCCI students are encouraged to complete their registration process before the Spring 2021 semester concludes on April 14th.
