Just For Kids Preschool and Day Care was rated ‘Satisfactory’ by the Office of Education Standards, maintaining its standard from the first cycle of inspections.
‘Satisfactory’ is the minimum level of quality required for Cayman Islands schools, and is the same rating that Just For Kids earned during its last inspection in January 2019.
“Children’s achievement in aspects of communication and exploration had improved. Following the last inspection, preschool leaders and staff had placed appropriate focus upon increasing opportunities for children’s scientific exploration and creative expression,” according to the inspection report.
Just For Kids earned ‘Satisfactory’ ratings in 10 of 14 indicators, with 2 ‘Good’ ratings and 2 ‘Weak’ ratings.
The school improved in the category of community links and declined in the area of student assessment.
Inspectors rate schools in individual categories, using a scale of Weak/Satisfactory/Good/Excellent. The overall grade is determined according to the individual scores.
Because the school was rated ‘Satisfactory’, it will not be subject to a Follow-Through inspection, and will be inspected during the next cycle of inspections beginning in 2023.
