Little Trotters Farm & Nursery School
Little Trotters Farm & Nursery School has repeated its accomplishment of receiving the highest overall grade of ‘Excellent’ from school inspectors. Not only that, the preschool improved upon its earlier performance by earning top marks in every single category of assessment.
(Little Trotters joins Montessori By The Sea as the first schools to earn all ‘Excellent’ grades.)
Inspectors found Little Trotters to be 'Excellent' in all 14 individual categories applied to Early Childhood & Education Centres.
According to the Office of Education Standards report, "The overall performance of Little Trotters Farm and Nursery was judged to be excellent. All performance standards and quality indicators were excellent. These encompassed the achievement of the children; teaching, learning and assessment; the curriculum; the safety of the children, the support they enjoy and leadership of the nursery."
Rated 'Excellent' in its previous inspection in January 2019, Little Trotters improved upon its marks in 6 categories during its recent inspection 3-5 May.
"Support and guidance of children was excellent. Relationships between children and teachers were outstanding and created a highly positive climate for learning. Support for children with special educational needs was highly effective," inspectors said.
The private preschool has 85 students from the age of 18 months to 5 years.
"Leadership was excellent. The owner had a clear vision for the nursery which was shared by all staff. Leadership was shared amongst staff and there was collective responsibility for the performance of the nursery," according to the report.
Owner Joanna Boxall, who purchased Little Trotters in February, said, "We are humbled by the results and feel so privileged to be able to provide our children with a school experience that has been judged as truly excellent."
