Interim CEO Named; Resources and Programming will continue
Inclusion Cayman (formerly The Special Needs Foundation Cayman) would like to announce that Susie Bodden has resigned from her position as Chief Executive Officer, effective June 30, 2021. Ms Bodden will continue her involvement within the non-profit organization in the role of Financial Officer.
Nik Tatarkin, Chair of the Board states, “Under the leadership and direction of Susie Bodden, Inclusion Cayman has enjoyed great success in creating and building key relationships for families, employers, recreation providers and schools across the Cayman Islands. The members of the Board and I are immensely grateful for all of Susie’s hard work and dedication to the organization. Her tireless commitment to Inclusion Cayman has played an instrumental role in its success to date. She will be greatly missed as CEO.”
Ms. Bodden says:
“Those who know me will appreciate the personal passion and commitment I have for the Foundation. The last seven years as CEO has been incredibly rewarding and I am extremely proud of the growth and success of the charity. It is my most ardent hope that Inclusion Cayman continues to build upon its vital advocacy work to support people with disabilities and their families in accessing an inclusive life.”
An immediate search has commenced for a replacement Chief Executive Officer and Inclusion Cayman continues in its mission to support the individuals and families of persons with disabilities within our community. Mr. Brent Holt has agreed to manage the transition by serving as Interim CEO. Mr. Holt has worked in a professional capacity with students and families of the Cayman Islands since August 2004 having previously held posts within the Ministry of Education as Educational Psychologist, Head of Student Services and as Senior Policy Advisor for Inclusion.
Nik Tatarkin continues, “We are excited to work with Brent Holt once again within our organization. Brent has spent many years as an established member of the Board and continues to share his experience and commitment to inclusion in this leadership role. The Board are working together to drive the charity forward and we look forward to working with our many supporters in the community for a bright future for Inclusion Cayman.”
