Update: 7pm Friday, 27 August:
The Department of Education Services (DES) advises that the New Student Orientation Sessions previously scheduled for Friday, 27 August will now occur on Monday, 30 August.
As such, all Government primary and high schools, including the Lighthouse School and Little Cayman Education Services, will reopen for all students on Tuesday, 31 August 2021.

Update: 8.30am Friday, 27 August:
Original: At 10:00 AM today, the CIG issued a Tropical Storm warning for the Cayman Islands.
As a result, the Department of Education Services (DES) advises that today’s scheduled Government school orientation activities will end at 12:00 PM.
Similarly, all orientation activities planned for tomorrow, Friday, 27 August have been cancelled.
Further notifications and updates will be issued on all Cayman Islands Government official platforms at www.gov.ky and the Ministry of Education’s social media pages.
