Mosley-Matchett named UCCI Interim Acting President and CEO

J.D. Mosley-Matchett, UCCI Interim Acting President and CEO

This release serves to inform the community that the Board of Governors of the University College of the Cayman Islands has appointed Dr J.D. Mosley-Matchett to be the Interim Acting President and CEO of the University College until such time as a new President and CEO has been appointed.

Dr Mosley-Matchett currently serves the University College of the Cayman Islands as Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs. She joined the University College in August of 2009 as a seasoned educator with more than a decade of successful teaching experience at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Her educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Business Administration and an MBA from the University of Texas at Arlington; a Juris Doctor (law degree) from the Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas; and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineer Technology from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia.

Dr. Mosley-Matchett considers her most notable administrative accomplishments during her term at the University College are the pursuit and achievement of discipline-level accreditation for UCCI’s Business Studies Department in 2017 from the International Accreditation Council for Business Education, and the first-time institutional accreditation in 2015 from the British-based Accreditation Service for International Schools, Colleges & Universities (ASIC). She led UCCI’s effort to gain accreditation from both organizations and is currently spearheading UCCI’s institutional preparations to achieve US-based regional accreditation.

The Board of Governors looks forward to further Academic achievements during Dr Mosley Matchett’s term in Office and looks forward to working with her.
