Teachers at Footsteps gave school leaders good marks for being supportive of their well-being during the pandemic. The small primary school has had few absences due to COVID, seen minimal learning loss, and has not had difficulties recruiting new staff members, an inspector said.
Many of Grand Cayman’s schools are taking proactive measures against COVID-19 to supplement guidance from government officials, including implementing policies on vaccinations, restricting campus visitors, or improving air purification and ventilation.
Opened in September 2020, Footsteps primary school earned ‘Good’ or ‘Excellent’ grades in almost every area of assessment.
