Before the departure of then-President and CEO Stacy McAfee from UCCI, the majority of members on the university’s Board of Governors supported renewing McAfee’s contract for another 3 years.
The UCCI Board has appointed J.D. Mosley-Matchett as Interim Acting President and CEO of UCCI.
The dramatically increased pay for the UCCI Board of Governors is being funded by a quarter-million dollar reduction in student scholarships.
The university’s board has received a significant pay raise, with new board chair Gilbert McLean set to earn $48,000 per year and each member $12,000 per year. That is up from about $1,000 per year, when the remuneration amounts were last published by the Auditor General.
Gilbert McLean is the new chairman of the UCCI Board. Other new members are Ronnie Dunn and Nichelle Scott.
